Think Before Eating
The East had been a progressive movement in Central Brooklyn in the 1970s and 1980s. The East called for a revolutionary departure from the US food system. A February 25, 1971 article published in its paper Black News warned, “We have to be aware of the kind of food we eat.” Those in control oppose a plant-based nutrient rich diet. Instead, they are inventing, producing, and shipping nutrient empty foods to stores in your community. And then state officials learn that the stuff they have been advocating causes, “cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or something that will wipe a few of us out by the time they find out its poison.” Think before you eat and protect your health and the health of your children now.
