More from the research The Roots Family Organization (RFO) of Washington, DC on skin care. The East republished their findings in the pages of Black News in the late 1970s. The RFO published some DYI herbal skin care instructions. (I posted Dr. Alvenia Fulton’s skin care suggestions, see the link below) RFO tells us that the herb fumitory mixed with vinegar gets rid of pimples, blotches, welts, and pimples. The herb shepherd’s purse heals head wounds because it has blood clotting properties. Yellow Dock stops severe itching from poison ivy and other causes. Now it up to you to do the research on the best way to obtain these herbs; why not plant them in your garden this coming spring.[i]
