I played junior college lacrosse at Herkimer County Community College before earning admissions and an athletic scholarship to play at Syracuse University (SU). In the process I gained a great education at an affordable price. The summer before transferring to Syracuse I set a goal of earning starting spot on the defending national championship team which had just graduated three starters at my position. Somehow got in my head that as a division 1 player had to bigger and stronger than I was at the time—6’ 1’’180. That summer I ate like a champ, lifted like a chump, and ballooned to 205 pounds! Please don't use the strategy I employed. Instead start eating a clean mostly plant diet, regularly drinking lots of water, And get a hold of the teams strength training plan and put it to work. Eating and drinking to win, speed, great footwork, technique, and effort make the difference.
