Special Edition: Systems, Culture, and Measurements in Sports and Education
Today's show is about diversity and inclusion in sports, schools, and industry, a topic that most white folks are scared to talk about and black and brown people regularly talk about behind closed doors. Special thanks to Matt Holman for sharing audio from his YouTube series entitled Overtime. Matt and I were teammates and roomates at Syracuse University; and he is the founder of the EMW Foundation a San Diego based non-profit dedicated to hosting and promoting lacrosse events for a cause. Today's show is an excerpt from Overtime episode 7. In this abridged audio edition Matt serves as host introducing the panelist: College Coaches Chazz Woodson and Amy Slade, Club Coach and future Hall of Famer Trevor Tierney, Club Coach Kevin Kelley, Entrepreneur and former University of Maryland player Harry Alford; and Educators Christina Snell, Fred Opie, Tina Opie, and Troy Kemp. HOST AND PRODUCER DR. FRED OPIE, ATHLETE TURNED PROFESSOR. Follow Fred, review the show, tell others about it, share a link.
