Florida Coleslaw Recipe
Serves 3
Ingredients
1 grapefruit, peeled and sectioned
2 cups shredded cabbage
½ cup Mother’s mayonnaise
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon celery seed
Directions
Have grapefruit and cabbage well chilled. Combine all ingredients lightly. For variety, substitute 1 cup orange or tangerine sections for the grapefruit. (Florida Slaw is of the Nancy Carter collection of “tested recipes.” Carter was the Director of Home Economics at Colonial Stores, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
